QA Automation/SDET

Clearly is seeking a dynamic individual to add to the success of our I.T team as a QA Automation/SDET. 

What You Will Be Responsible For:

As the QA Automation engineer, you will be responsible for owning Test Automation services for large-scale e-commerce internal applications and web services supporting tools and/or software. You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automated tools for the quality assurance team to use and execute.

  • Creation of Test Automation Framework and Test Automation Suites
  • Contribute in the creation and enhancement of procedures and policies to seek the continuous improvement of the QA practices and culture in the team
  • Support continuous integration process improvement and innovation
  • Help gather, analyze and monitor progress and trends to ultimately reduce risk and improve the quality and performance of deliverables.
  • Communicate work status effectively and objectively
  • Assist in the management, maintenance and monitoring of test environments

What You Need To Do Your Job: 

As a QA Automation engineer, you must have strong skills in a variety of categories: engineering and technology, verbal and written communication, problems solving, reasoning and logic and practical skills like exceptional documentation and time management. As a QA Automation engineer you are also required to have the following technical skills:

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Proficient programmer in C# and/or Java
  • 3+ years hands-on test automation experience using Test automation tools with Selenium, cucumber or similar tools; No manual testing
  • Hands-on experience with IDE development tools
  • Experience testing within an Agile environment
  • Proficient experience with SQL, XML and web services tools as well as understanding HTML
  • Deep knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with distributed source control systems such as GIT or TFS

What You Can Handle:

As the QA Automation Engineer, you will serve as subject matter expert on development of testing approaches and methodologies related to testing tools. The position requires the ability to understand business requirements and system designs in order to select, develop and utilize automated testing.

The Decisions You Make:

A core responsibility of a test automation engineer is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible. The challenge and decision you will be making is, however, determining what should be automated and in what sequence in order to get the maximum return on the automation investment.

Development: 

You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automated tests and regression suite for the quality assurance team to use and execute.
