Team Leader, Retail - Queen Street

Clearly is seeking a dynamic individual to add to the success of our Queen Street Retail team as a Team Leader. 

What You Are Responsible For:

  • Communicate and enforce goals for the work group and coach to reach targets 
  • Share results with your team on a daily and weekly  basis
  • Handle customer escalations, assess and address customer complaints, and act as a liaison to resolve customer concerns       
  • Coach and train new Eyewear Consultants 
  • Work with Store Manager and Assistant Manager to reach sales targets 
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments 
  • Work with the Retail Management Team to develop best practices 
  • Ensure that team issues pertaining to site performance, products, and shipping are communicated to the appropriate departments, and that these are resolved 
  • E-mail Daily End of Shift Reports to the Retail Management Team 
  • Maintain designated area of responsibility in store 
  • Occasionally assist our clinic with reception tasks and pre-screening patients
  • Assist our customers through the process of finding the perfect pair of glasses through honest and confident feedback based on style, function, and fit
  • Educate our customers on how to shop for glasses online
  • Knowledgeable of our lens and frame products in order to educate and better assist our customers
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets 
  • Ensure that opening and closing store procedures are conducted daily
  • Perform other tasks as needed, including administrative tasks, maintaining store cleanliness, entering stock, inventory counts, and other duties assigned 

What You Need To Do Your Job:

  • Previous retail or customer service management/ leadership experience 
  • Post-secondary degree or have taken course work related to management/business would be an asset  
  • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • You excel at leading effectively in a fast-paced environment  
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members
  • Great organization and planning skills,  and ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously  
  • You have genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives 
  • You have a flexible schedule with the ability to work evening, weekends and some holidays 

What You Can Handle: 

  • You multitask and address multiple customers’ and EWC’s needs or concerns simultaneously
  • You handle escalated customers in a professional and objective manner, without taking their concerns personally

  • Your decisions are focused on the execution of your work
  • You are a customer service expert and understand best practices for working efficiently, effectively, and quickly
  • You are able to determine if team members are able to finish their shift early if they choose to
